Topic: Attacks on Rush Limbaugh
From: Lolo1

I find it phenominal that we have an adminsitration that is personally attacking critics. Not only is Rush getting attacked, but also Cramer and Santelli. Is Obama going to be thin skinned or is he going to be president of all the people as he portended?

I also find it disturbing that we have a party that thinks demeaning people is open honest debate. I think this country is going backwards.

Obama can't take criticism and that is the reason why he set his attack dogs on Rush Limbaugh.

I hope that Rush Limbaugh's ratings double because he is the only one making sense right now and willing to stand up for the truth.

Go Rush Limbaugh!

Truth always wins out when you can finally get it. Rush has never told a lie on his show that I can point to. Obama has. Obama said he would not allow so-called earmarks. There were over 8,000 in the spending bill he just signed and he never apologized. If a man lies about one thing he will lie about anything. Obama is a liar and cannot be trusted.

This Conservative still feels that she owes 7+ years of no terrorist attacks in the US to President Bush.

Topic: Rush Limbaugh vs. James Carville
From: Denise
Location: Louisiana

Rush is not the leader of the Republican Party. He is not a politician. He is not running for office. He has a radio talk show. People flock to him in the millions because they agree with his positions on conservatism, which are fiscal, not social.

Republicans got away from the conservative principles that brought success. Once Republican's learn that conservatism in its true form is compassionate, therefore there is no need to water it down with a phony label (compassionate conservatism), they will regain the success that came with Reagan.

I have never met Carville or Rush. I've listened to and watched both many times. Carville is mean spirited and hateful. Rush is not.

For those who criticize Rush, think about this...

- Biggest audience in all of MEDIA
- Right 98% of the time
- Never demeans anyone in an interview, unlike Carville who may or may not be a nice guy, but his screen persona is vulgar, cheap, and pure hatred...

Topic: Liberals
From: Thomas

I find that liberals are tremendously reluctant to engage in anything remotely resembling a dialog. I believe this to be so because any honest appraisal of the facts does not meld very well with someone who's insistent on arguing about their "feelings".

When confronted with inconvenient things such as "facts", the usual reaction/response goes something like this:

A. Denial (Don't Even Notice I'm Always Lying)
B. Distortion
C. Deflection
D. Equivocation
E. Personal insult/attack against the person that is the topic of conversation
F. Personal attack against me

Topic: Opening our Party
From: Elias

Republicans need to open our party to others. The majority of blacks and hispanics are conservative when voting on policy issues but liberal when voting for candidates. We must demonstrate to these groups and others that we are not the "haters" that the liberal Democrats paint us to be.
